Flat TV stands have recently become the standard design for entertainment centers –the reasons for this are obvious. Many of the big retail stores no longer stock CRT Televisions – that is the TV that was used before the design of flat screen LCD or plasma TVs.

Flat TV stands have been designed specifically for the new style of TVs. They can be slimmer – a flat screen TV takes up much less room than the traditional CRT model – allowing the stand to be under half the thickness of a more traditional TV stand.

They can be cheaper – as they no longer have to support such a great weight, manufactures can spend less on materials – which makes the stand cheaper for the consumers. The smaller dimensions also cut down on delivery costs, and take up less storage space.
